Hello and welcome !

Hello, my name is Maura, and I'm also known as Ayayu. I'm an illustrator, multimedia and mixed-media designer based in Leipzig, Germany. In 2015 I finished my studies as a graphic designer. In 2019 I had the opportunity to study abroad in South Korea at the SNU. During my time there, I made precious insights into traditional Ink painting methods and interface design. 2021 I got my degree of Bachelor of Arts at the university of art and design Burg Giebichenstein with focus on Multimedia and VR Design. Currently I'm doing my Master in Multimedia Design at the same university.

My inspiration comes mostly from nature, especially from the patterns found in it and from the microscopic world. I try to magnify these hidden worlds and pair them with the digital world. Working with traditional art and brining it to life with augmented reality or virtual reality is a big field of exploration and joy for me.

Recently, a wonderful way for me to see all my newer creations and experiments is through the eyes of my kids. Some of my work is also made for children, since my own two little girls inspire me to see the world through their honest and joyfull eyes.
